Professor Profile:
Graduated from Kobe University Law Department , Bachelor of Law (1956).Attended Washington University (Seattle WA) Law School Summer Session (1977). Wisconsin University Law School Summer Program (1989), and Santa Clara University Law School Summer Program (1994).
Worked as an in-house legal counsel in Chori Co. Ltd., the 11th largest trading company for 20 years, and Japanese substitutes of F. Hoffman La Roche a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company and Givandan, Roure, a Swiss perfume and fragrance company for 20 years as a chief in-house legal counsel and a standing auditor.Vice chairman of Japan Translation Association since 2004. Involved in education through correspondence of translators at Babel since 1990s. Dean and Professor of Babel University Professional School of Translation since 2000. Concurrently professor and head of the Career Development Department of LEC Tokyo Legal Mind University. 
Course Summary Lecture US Trust Law in Japanese language.
How this course was developed From 2004 to 2006, BABEL University Professional School of Translation developed 30 courses on U.S. laws to help the students who majored in International Paralegal and Legal Translation, to build background knowledge on their major. This course is one of them. The course was established in 2006 and updated in 2007.
Course Objectives Students acquire comprehensive knowledge of US trust law.
Learning Outcome Students who have successfully completed this course will have a comprehensive knowledge of US trust law in both English and Japanese.
Prerequisite Japanese Law Courses
Course Progression (1) Study basic learning materials
(2) Submit homework assignments as per the class instruction booklet
(3) Take part in interactive classes using Q&A, electronic message boards, etc.
